Step out of your room each morning onto the cozy decorated patio with the large breakfast table and the fresh water swimming pool. The view over the deep blue Caribbean sea with the singing birds in the trees and the slowly rising sun as a backdrop for your custom made breakfast; the perfect way to start a new day!
With only 5 guestrooms you easily get the feeling of staying in a private tropical Villa. All guestrooms have air-conditioning, large comfortable beds, a safe, screened windows, vaulted ceilings with fans and a private bathroom with all amenities.
On our guestrooms, inside the whole Villa and on our porch we have a non smoking and a no necktie policy. On the premises we have a wireless "high-speed" internet-connection available for those who do like to stay it touch with home. We offer this service free of any charges, all you need to do is to bring your own laptop suitable for a wireless connection. Please be advised that the high speed connection is adjusted to the pace of living on the island :)
If you don't feel like going out to dinner every night, no problem at all. We also offer our guests the possibility to make use of our kitchen facilities.
On site we have a full service PADI dive-shop. Shore diving, boat diving, courses, rental equipment, nitrox, regular air... you name it, we have it!

Our Staff
Menno & Esther
Menno & Esther moved to Bonaire in October of the year 2000 after owning and operating a small and successful bistro in the Netherlands for a little over 10 years. Both were working at different employers and enjoying the natural beauty of this wonderful island, when in the beginning of 2002 their dream came true; As interim managers they got the opportunity to learn all the ins and outs of the Deep Blue View B&B. After running DBV for about 9 months they decided to buy this wonderful place. Per the first of January 2003 they could call themselves the proud new owners and right away started to make little changes, some upgrades and additions to turn it into the beautiful B&B it is now. After adding a full service dive-shop DBV was complete and able to offer the exact same services as a large ocean-front hotel can but does so with a different "flavor".
Esther is the kitchen-princess, aka the muffin-which. She is a busy lady; she likes to hike early in the morning (yes, even before breakfast!), she offers snorkel-trips, she guides night (boat-)dives and, on top of that, she teaches PADI course(s) preferably in Spanish, the language she is also attending classes for.
Menno, the (n)ever busy tank-boy, offers the boat-dives and likes it to show you the diversity of the regular dive sites Bonaire has to offer as well as the not so regular dive sites. If the circumstances are good and the muffins and tanks are accounted for, he gladly takes 'Me Jadato' out to the not yet discovered east-coast or to the far northern part, the Washington Slagbaai Park. He also is an all-round PADI instructor, an avid underwater videographer and a great grill-master which comes in handy for the weekly BBQ evening.
Erika
Erika is part of DBV now for almost 3 years. She takes care of all the little and big jobs in and around the Villa and helps Esther with the breakfasts. Born in Peru, speaking (a little) English and, just recently, open water certified. She is of great importance and a great asset to DBV. Although rather vertically challenged, she has an enormous and contagious smile. She has her heart on the right place and she loves it to play with the residents pets... You'll see... :)
Bully & Usco
Bully is the chief of security. Tough as a nail and, mainly, in charge over the pool area. He checks the water quality frequently and does not mind sharing the results with you. (Keep your towel ready!!) At night he secures the dive-lockers and the parking lot. It is amazing how he does that because it sounds as if he is snoring all night long on his bed next to our room.
Usco is Bully's assistant. She is his right (and left) hand so she is the busy one. She is in charge over anything and everything that passes by, comes in and goes out again. She watches that all from a distance and when she knows for sure that it's ok she will send Bully to greet you warmly. If Bully is to busy checking the pool she will not hesitate a moment to come and say hi herself.
