Bonaire
one of the world's top scuba dive,
windsurf and snorkel vacations

Bonaire was named the 2003 top dive destination in the Caribbean and Atlantic by the readers of Rodale's Scuba Diving Magazine (2003). Bonaire was rated number one in seven of the 15 categories listed in Rodale's, including: shore diving, fish life, healthiest marine environment, macro life, underwater photography and beginner diving.

Sport Diver in their article on "How the World Dives" in 2003 singled out Bonaire for Macro, Shore Diving, Night Diving and lists the Hilma Hooker as one of the "World Wreck Highlights"

And now Bonaire has become well-known for its windsurfing as well. May 22-29, 2005, Bonaire will host the 2005 Bonaire PWA World Freestyle Event, the King of the Caribbean Pro-Am. This windsurf freestyle contest will attract world-class windsurfers from around the globe to compete for the $65,000 purse.
The "King of the Caribbean" Championship Finals will be the World Cup Premier event for the 2005 PWA World Tour. The event will include competitions for all levels: Professional Men, Professional Women, Amateurs, Novices and Juniors.

You can explore Bonaire and many of its 80+ dive sites or the windsurfing at Lac Bay whenever you like, as often as you like. In fact, all you need is a rental car and a comfortable place to stay to enjoy diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, kayaking or just relaxing on Bonaire. From our breezy, hilltop location at the Deep Blue View Intimate Resort you can enjoy a constant view of the deep blue Caribbean as well as a sense of privacy, independence, space and service for quality relaxation. That's why our guests say it's like staying in your own private villa. We hope you enjoy the Bonaire information presented below.
