Our Gear Storage and Rinse Facilities
Full tanks, rinse-facilities & gear-lockers; All available on the premises and all available for you 24/7.
Just back up your pickup truck to the end of the secured parking-lot. Here you can find it all; Large personal
gear-lockers, large rinse-tanks and our ‘endless’ tank-rack.
The aluminum tanks come with the international valve (yes, the o-ring ones, so, yes, you need to have the yoke 1st
stage... :-)) and are available in two sizes; 80 Cuft and (a few) 63 Cuft.
We also offer Enriched air Nitrox 32. A very friendly priced upgrade to the use of unlimited Nitrox 32 is now available
on our dive-packages.
Our Dive Packages
We offer 3 different ‘standard’ dive-packages;
1. Shore Dive-package
Bonaire is world-wide famous for the great shore-diving possibilities. Just gear up and walk in and the reef starts on
general about 20 to 30 yards from the shoreline. Just you and your buddy, where you prefer to go and when you prefer to
go. No need for a guide and no need to have any others around you if you don’t want that. It’s that simple on Bonaire.
About 50 shoredive-sites are awaiting you!
All you need to do is to attend the mandatory Marine Park Orientation (Included in our shore dive-package) so we can
set it up for you. During the orientation we will also hand out the paperwork (liability) for you to complete and sign.
For enjoying shorediving the best way and in a safe and comfortable way you do not really need to be an athlete, but,
being physical fit makes things a lot easier and way more fun. When diving the northern and southern part of the island
on windy days, one needs to be quite fit due to the waves and the surge. We strongly recommend the use hard soled
booties since the shoreline and entries are pretty rocky. We do have such booties available for rent in case you don’t
have them.
2. Shore & Boat Dive-package
This package includes all the shorediving you like to do as well as 3 luxurious two-tank boatdives. The Marine Park
Orientation is mandatory (and included) and so is an orientation-dive. During your orientation we will right away set
up your boat dives for you and, if wished for, we can also set up one (or more) guided shore dives and/or a guided
night dive. Off we go then, it’s dive time; Front Porch is awaiting you…..
3. Boat Dive-package
This for Bonaire unusual dive-package is especially created for the divers who like to do their dives the easy way;
by boat!!. Five days of boat dives (12 dives in total) are included in this package and more can always be added if
wished for once you are here. Some of our repeater guests refer to this package as ‘the ultimate pamper / lazy diver
dive-package’ aka the ‘P&S way package’;
No Marine Park Orientation required, no (underwater) navigation needed, no carrying tanks anywhere and no need for
booties.
Just step aboard ‘Me Jadato’ and enjoy. Luxury features like a warm fresh-water shower, different soft-drinks,
different kinds of fruit, snacks and, on our 3-tank all-day-dive-trip, a nice and nutritious lunch. All this available
on shaded cushioned seats with a little back-ground music from the radio.
Our brand new custom build boat ‘Me Jadato’, a 36ft Newton, is awaiting you in the Marina. Welcome aboard. Just sit
back, relax and enjoy what is coming!
Of course do we need to hand out the paperwork (liability) for you to complete and sign before your first two-tank
boatdive so please, do not forget your certification info!
Starting your Dive Trip
Before enjoying the wonderful shore-diving possibilities Bonaire has to offer, a full Marine Park orientation is
mandatory. The morning after your arrival, or for red eye arrivals the morning of your arrival, we will inform you
about the Marine Park regulations, we will reveal the secrets on how to find the shoredive-sites and we will tell you
what you can expect during your dives on the pristine Bonairian reefs. This is also the moment we will hand out the
paperwork (liability) for you to complete and sign. Please, please, please, do not forget to bring proof of your
certification!!!! Any agency and any level of certification will do just fine but please bring it!
After this dry part we go out for the wet part; your orientation-dive.
This dive is simply meant to help you to get weighted properly for the Caribbean Sea. A very detailed briefing will
ensure you to easily find your way around during your first shore-dive. We’ll go in the water with you and we will be
with you during your first descent to be able to help out when needed. After this we will leave the water again and
you can enjoy your first shore-dive of your trip.
If you like us to stay with you during your whole first shore-dive we can set up a guided dive, no problem at all.
The costs for a guided shoredive is US$ 70.- per buddy-pair. No real need to reserve that in advance, but, it would
help to let us know before we go to the divesite so we can bring a full tank for ourselves ... :))
If your last open water dive is quite some time ago or if you simply like it to have some more help and time to get
started again please let us know before your arrival. We will set up a full refresher-dive for you. We always try to
make the refresher-dive a private one, only you and your dive-buddy, so we can take the all time you need. The costs
of a full refresher dive is US$ 95.- per buddy-pair.
Dive-training
Although we agree with you that a tropical vacation shouldn’t be spend studying anything, we would like to ask you to
consider learning how to dive during your upcoming stay. Bonaire is a great destination to get certified and to get
spoiled all at once; Here we always have calm water, always have warm water, always have a good visibility and always
have lot’s and lot’s of fish to look at!
For the not yet certified we offer two different packages. One that includes an introduction to Scuba Diving, the
PADI Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) course and one that includes the full PADI open water certification course. There is
no real need to book the DSD course in advance, we can also set it up for you once you are here. The a la carte costs
of the DSD experience is US$ 200.- per couple. This rate includes the use of all needed equipment.
Booking the DSD package does offer you the advantage of an additional open water dive without any additional charges!
If you are already planning to do the full open water certification course it is recommended to book this in advance,
so we can schedule this in for you. An other advantage of booking the full course ahead of time is that all the needed
equipment is included during the course without any additional charges.
For the divers who like to gain some more experience under guidens and do want to improve their dive-skills we offer
the PADI advanced diver course. Five fun dives, some academics, no exam, a great experience and a certification pass
when finished. The a la carte price of the PADI advanced diver course is US$ 600.- per buddy-pair. Equipment is not
included in this rate. We can also help out with improving your Scuba diving skills without doing a
certification-course. "Improve your scuba" we call that. During your boatdives we will film you so you can
actually see how you "behave" underwater. We may have some tips for you to improve your diving which will be
filmed again. Afterwards we immortalize you by burning your achievements onto a DVD for you so you can show it to your
friends and/or family back home. If you have booked a package that includes boatdives all you need to pay for is
the making of the DVD.
Rental equipment
Our dive-packages do not include any equipment unless specifically mentioned otherwise. Of course do we offer all
equipment here for rent and, if you want, we can add the needed equipment to the dive-package of your choice. Just let
us know what your needs are and we can make you a personal quote. We use discounted rates for adding the needed
equipment to your dive-package. It might also be wise to double check your airlines weight restrictions and additional
charges for traveling with dive equipment. Maybe you are cheaper of renting with us instead of bringing your own gear!!
Our snorkel-package
The snorkeling on Bonaire is just as beautiful as the diving is. For the guests who prefer snorkeling and like to
pre-arrange that we offer a package that includes 2 guided snorkel trips. Depending on your personal experience and
the weather circumstances of the moment of your stay we will set up these trips for you after your arrival. These trips
can be a boat snorkel-trip on Klein Bonaire, a drift snorkel-trip or a night snorkel-trip. Just let us know what you
prefer and we will make it happen...
Starting your Snorkel Trip
Officially there is no Marine Park Orientation required when you come to Bonaire for snorkeling. We do one anyway so
we can explain to you what to do and what not to do, where you can expect the best snorkeling the island has to offer
and where the entrance(s) are easy and where they might be somewhat challenging.
We will also set up the snorkel-trips included in your package during this orientation and we will hand out the
paperwork (liability) for you to complete and sign. After that, off you go…….; The Caribbean Sea is
awaiting you!
Please beware
Snorkeling and diving can be strenuous under certain circumstances. Being physical fit and healthy definitely makes
your active trip a lot safer and way more fun for all parties involved.
A final note
Our dive & snorkel-packages are not commissionable and can only be sold in combination with a stay at the Deep Blue
View B&B. DBV dive & snorkel-packages will not be sold to solo traveling divers/snorkelers or to those who travel
without a (dive-)buddy.
We just love it to make your dive- or snorkel-trip the perfect one no matter what your level of experience is. If you
can’t find a package to your liking just let us know and we will see if we can tailor you a package according your
wishes and/or needs. This of course within reason ok? ... :-)) Group rates are available during low-season.
