Deep Blue View News:
Tweetie has taken her eagerness to nest to a different level and included her earlier offspring into that or she has decided that building should be left to the pro’s and hired a bunch. About 6 of these little birds are flying not only up and down our porch nowadays with, so it seems, a never ending supply of construction materials, they also started inside the villa with their building activities. Sofar we keep each other pretty busy on a somewhat friendly way because we desperately try to prevent them from finishing their nest and remove them while leaving them in tact as much as possible. When walking through the hall or in our kitchen you nowadays need to duck every now to prevent being flown into. Sort of funny, but, I am awaiting the moment they start to get back to us in a different way for taking out their nests……. I find myself looking around on the internet more and more specifically to recipes with poultry as an ingredient and start wondering more and more how these birds taste better; From the BBQ, breaded and then deep-fried or slowly cooked and served with a garlic-cream sauce…….. Would it really be necessary to remove the feathers and what shall I do with the legs, they work perfectly fine as a tooth-pick I read on one of the recipe-sites…… I just hope Tweetie follows our example once again. We are done for now with our construction-work(s). Plans enough for (the near) future, but, for now we are done and kind of fed-up with it.It all ended up really beautiful and, as if it always seems to go that way, it was ready just in time. Let’s call that perfect planning on my behalf…. (yep right!). The latest news from Newton was that the construction of our new boat goes well and still is on schedule. So, in the beginning of December we are going to Slidell (LA) for the ‘final’ inspection and for the sea-trails. I can’t tell you how exiting we are about that all! Not only will we see our new boat in real life, we will also put it into action on the open water. The ‘sad’ side of that all is that we also have to visit New Orleans and probably some-one will make me drink one or two (yep right!) Abita Ambers. I may even like Abita Amber just as much as I do Fat-Tire so I have to start working on a whole new tax-free import route. Some refer to that as smuggling, but, in my eye’s that is just how you look at it. I call it doing me a favor. A well appreciated favor I can assure you! After the so called final inspections we can work in greater detail on the transportation of the new boat to Bonaire. All what ’s left to do then is to put the name on it (yes, the name is known!) and that’s it. I am so much looking forward to that moment. Not only will it bring our boat-diving to a different and way more luxurious level, it will also open the possibility to offer longer and further away trips. We will right away start offering 3-tank dive trips which will include a site in the Washington park, or starts at one of the sites far south. A trip like this may even bring us to Klein Curacao for all 3 dives! Lunch will be included in these 3-tank trips. I do have to warn you all that not everything will improve. You will still have to deal with the same captain / DM and also these tiny crumbs some refer to as muffins will stay the same size. My request for a decent size muffin is rejected once again and the muffin-witch threatened to put a spell on me if I don’t stop sending in new requests. Sighhhh……. That’s all for now. Stay warm up there in the Northern part of the world or come and join us here in the South…..:-))
