Just a few more hours and January is over already.

Aiaiai, did these weeks pass by quickly.I find it always somewhat odd and strange the days past Christmas and new years. Regular life sets in so da… (oops) quick. This time it only seemed to set in a lot quicker, but, then again, what is regular life when living in paradise…… 

The last week the weather is playing up quite unusual, at least, unusual for the time of the year compared to the 8 years we have been living here. I have heard some locals saying that this is the weather that Bonaire used to have……. Every night for the last week we had quite a lot of rain and even some of the mornings were pretty wet. Luckily, sofar, each day it cleared up so it did not interfere with the daily activities our guests came for; Diving, Snorkeling, Hammocking…..(new DBV verb. It will be added in the official dictionary later this year I heard….) Sadly today it seems to stay rather cloudy and just now, at 9:40 am, the rain has started again….. Good day for eehhhhh…… an umbrella drink …… or to open a bottle of wine……. It must be 5pm somewhere, so …….. Better not forget to get to the airport in time this afternoon to pick up our new arriving guests…… Sorry Steven & Jeanette if I am a little late……It’s the weather’s fault!!!! 

Some good news reached us over the last few weeks. To mention the very best;The number of Cruise Ships docking here is quite lower then expected.  Also very good news is that  the ones who do come to the island are not full. Hopefully this will be the new trend ……Extremely proud we are with having received another Tripadvisor Award. Also some sad news has reached us; Sandra, our multifunctional help for quite some years now, has given us her notice. She will leave Bonaire to move back to Venezuela. She missed her family to much. We will definitely miss her and she will be hard to replace.
