The canopy of ‘my office’ did not survive last weeks strong winds and needed to be repaired. It was not damaged that much but, just to make sure, we will put it back again when the winds drop somewhat. No shade these weeks…… Sorry!

Steven & Jeanette got back at me for not being at the airport timely. They made me go out with them almost every single day and dive with them. Not easy it is my job ….. (hahaha!) Lot’s of boatdives we did together in, still, windy conditions….so, ….no canopy……The conditions under water where surprisingly good even in shallow water (though so cold for a softy like me!!) and we where lucky with the finding of a “new” (not yet known to me) yellow seahorse at Keep Sake. The known frogfish were still ‘home’ and I did spot some more Groupers lately ……. It seems as if the population is slowly growing again somewhat……I am still working on my underwater video skills and, finally, start to get the feeling. Of course now the camera and the housing are not up to date anymore so I am looking into an upgrade. Esther is giving me strange looks lately and everytime I bring up the real bad need of replacing that ‘old thing’ she brings out her ‘honeypleasedolist’ …… Hmmmm ….. I return those strange looks but somehow these seem not to work as good ……..

Joanna, Brian, Gene & Debora honored us with another stay, their second one. This time they brought friends and family. Eight of them all together! All wonderful and cheerful folks who spend quite some time poolhappyhouring (new dbv word. Will be added into the official dictionary later this year I heard…..). All our guests staying this week were snorkelers so, finally, Esther is busy. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I kind of know already what most of you think right now: You are all wrong here!!! The anger management training I went through (court order) last year did learn me something so let’s put it in a different way; This week Esther can enjoy her own home backed muffins for a change……The gang of 8 also went on a full day sailing-trip on the Bowalie. A real great sailing experience they got with winds around the 25 knots! Bruce and Ann enjoyed the sudden quietness around here…..  Liezeth was as wonderful as usual and Walter ….. eeehhh …… yep  …..Walter did ok as well this time! He also learned a lot at his AMT (yes, also court order!) 

I have finished my last Fat Tire during the last BBQ evening….. My god, do I suddenly miss Lori & Lee …… Maybe John can (finally!) live up to his promises ….. I’ll keep my fingers crossed when receiving email, but, sofar no good news from Colorado …... 

Some of this month’s good news; The 2009 Tripadvisor award we received seems to bring quite a lot of exposure. Many happy emails we receive with folks who congratulate us. Thanks for that – all of you!! My mom is coming to Bonaire in May again. Checking upon me if I (still/finally) behave or just coming to the island ‘to get away from the stressful life a retired person has’ I don’t know. I will find out soon enough….. 

Also some sad things happened; I ran out of Fat Tire! What can I say….The 2 ’12-packs’ Lori and Lee brought me disappeared as if it were only 2 ‘6-packs’…… Sandra did not turn in her notice on her previously turned in notice yet. She even booked her flight out and she started packing the things she takes with her. It really looks as if it is final…… Hmmmm…..
